I don’t know about you, but for some reason fall makes me want to decorate with wreaths. I think it has to do with bringing the outdoors that we enjoy all summer, inside for the fall and winter. I was at Anthropologie the other day, and their tables full of wheat made me want to come home and tuck bits of wheat in nooks and crannies all over my house. 🙂 Hanging a wreath on the front door is welcoming and beautiful, but why not bring them indoors too? Here are five ideas for decorating with wreaths and bringing a bit of the outdoors in.
I have used this tip when I’ve planned parties and weddings and it’s a great way to add a festive flair to you home as well. Many stores sell small wreaths (boh live and artificial) these days making it easy to incorporate them into your home.

I am one of those people that never wants a single story house. As much as I love the idea of never having to run up and down the stairs when I forget something, they are such a statement when you enter a home, I just can’t live without them. Especially when you can hang beautiful greens from them at the holidays. How abut that incredible black and white wallpaper with the GOLD wreaths. WOW!

I love this idea because it’s unexpected! Large bookcases are really a focal point in your home, so dressing them up with greenery really makes a statement.

The power of grouping things in three. I love the look of a pretty ribbon or rustic burlap hanging wreaths in trios. Use this tip on the inside of doors as well. It’s stunning on french doors inside your home.
If you’re thinking about adding wreaths into your décor this season, here are a few of my favorites.
I especially like those like the one in the middle or the one on the bottom left, because they can be used well into the spring. They aren’t “Christmas specific” so you can make them work a good portion of the year and get more bang for your buck. 😉
I hope you are feeling inspired to bring some of the outdoors in and decorate with wreaths this holiday season! There are so many amazing images with ideas available on great sites like pinterest.
